With the arrival of a new year, price adjustments also come. As usual, January is the month in which these increases begin to appear, most of which are linked to the minimum wage, inflation and the Tax Value Unit (UVT).

This 2025 is no exception to the rule and began with the entry into force of some increases. So that you can better plan your finances, below we present a compilation with the increases that have already begun to take effect and those that are coming.
First increases
In compliance with what was agreed between the National Government and the bases of cargo and passenger transportation in Colombia, on January 1, 2025, the diesel price adjustment (ACPM) was launched in Colombia. In total, an increase of $169 was applied, which places the value of the gallon at $10,725.
The increase took into consideration that in the first month of the year there are indexations of some components of the price structure, including the ACPM surcharge, transport rates for polyducts and biofuels.
However, this was not the only fuel that showed changes in its value. The National Government also reported that the price of gasoline in the national territory would have an increase of $91, that is, The average cost of this fuel will be $16,085.
Another adjustment related to the mobility and transportation sector is related to toll rates.
As part of its plan to normalize the prices of these stations, the Ministry of Transportation reported that three increases will be made in 2025. The first of these increases materialized at the beginning of the year and is equal to 2.7%a figure that corresponds to 60% of the pending value to be applied for 2023 inflation.
On the other hand, the Financial Superintendence of Colombia defined the new maximum rates of Mandatory Traffic Accident Insurance (Soat) for 2025. The entity reported that some of the maximum prices presented a reduction of 8.68%, in addition to The 50% discount is maintained in the differential range categories.

Other increases
As of January 18, 2025, the TransMilenio rate will go from $2,950 to $3,200. This value will apply to both trunk and zone buses, as well as to use TransMiCable.
According to the Mayor of Bogotá, this increase seeks to guarantee the sustainability of the system, meet operating costs and maintain the balance between supply and demand, following criteria established in the capital’s District Development Plan.
In health issues, the changes come for the moderating fees paid to the Health Provider Entities (EPS). This year, people who earn less than two minimum monthly salaries will have to pay $4,700, those who receive between two and five will have to make a contribution of $19,200, and those who earn more than five minimum salaries will pay $50,300.
Other items that are impacted by inflation and other factors include administration fees, public services, tuition prices, food, and hotel and restaurant costs.
Leasing is also one of the services that will present adjustments.
In accordance with the regulations, the increase that is applied to the monthly rental price cannot be greater than 100% of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) figure for the year prior to the year in which the readjustment will be made. .
That is, in the case of 2025, the landlord will have to increase the rental value of his property, taking as reference the inflation data of the previous year and it will not be able to go up more than that percentage. The CPI data corresponding to 2024 will be released on January 9.
