The parties that make up the Unity Left Front (FIT-U), along with 200 social and union organizations, marched to the Plaza de Mayo, where they held a act in rejection of the agreement reached between the national government and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The columns began to gather after 3:00 p.m. on 9 de Julio Avenue, which interrupted the traffic of vehicles from Belgrano Avenue to Corrientes Avenue, and they marched to converge around 6:00 p.m. in Plaza de Mayo, where the act took place.
In that framework, a joint document was read in rejection of the Government’s agreement with the IMF, the adjustment, the rate hikes, extractivism and the payment of the “illegitimate” external debt of the Macri Government.
The concentration of the different social organizations also implied the closure of the descents and ascents of the 25 de Mayo Highway, while the Metrobús on the 9 de Julio continued to operate.
Participating in the call, among others, was the deputy of the FIT Unit, Myriam Bregman.
In addition, around 200 social, union, student, human rights, women’s movement, socio-environmental and political struggle organizations participated in an act that had replicas in different cities of the country.
