The employment rate in November it was located at 57.5% of the population of working age and remained without significant changes in the monthly comparison. The figure is equivalent to 1,672,000 employed people, according to data released this Wednesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
On the other hand, the CPA economist Ferrere Nicolás Cichevsky pointed out that employment, although it is below the comparison with the same month of 2021 (employment rate 57.5% vs. 57.9%), possibly the difference is not significant.
In that sense, He pointed out that the 2022 average will close with some 32,000 more employees than the 2021 average, “although this will be entirely drag effect” because that job was created at the end of 2021. In 2022 there would be an average of 31,000 more employees than in 2019, wrote on his Twitter account.
Meanwhile, the unemployment rate remained at 7.8% in November. Thus, the number of unemployed stood at 140,800 people. The activity rate was 62.4%, equivalent to 1,812,800 people.
