After more than five hours of oral trial hearing, the Buena Vista Sentencing Court sentenced Hernán Siancas to 20 years in prison, 43 years old, for the crime of aggravated rape committed against his 14-year-old stepdaughter, in 2018.

Prosecutor Adelaida Singurí reported that Siancas will remain in the Buenavista jail until May 30, when the full sentence issued this day will be read.

During the hearing, Siancas claimed to be innocent. “He stated that he was innocent and that he will use the appeal restricted. However, the judge ordered that he be transferred to the Palmasola prison, ”explained Singuri.

Hernán Siancas was declared a rebel in this process for rape to a minor on March 13, 2020. This case was denounced by the victim’s mother, who is a former partner of the sentenced person.

Siancas was kidnapped on May 8 in Yapacaní. His captors were seeking a reward of more than 1 million dollars, but he was released without paying this amount near the Retiro community, 50 kilometers from San Ignacio de Moxos (Beni), on May 21.
