Peace and School Safety Cabinets in mayors’ offices: A cabinet will be installed in each of the 16 mayor’s offices, with the participation of the mayors.
They will be headed by the general coordinator of the City Government Cabinet, Manuel Oropeza, and will meet every three months to evaluate security in Mexico City schools.
Cameras and link with CDMX Police: In the 626 secondary, high school or high school and university schools, surveillance cameras will be installed and in the case of private schools that have their own systems, these will be connected to the C5 of the capital’s Government.
“The priority for installing video cameras in the city is going to be in the schools, in all of these 626 schools,” said Brugada.
The elements of the Capital Police must maintain an alert code during school dismissal hours, to be attentive and respond to any incident.
At the same time, the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) will give talks to raise awareness among young people about risks in irregular parties, risks on the internet and video games, as well as prevention of violence against women, especially in dating.
Additionally, 300 members of the School Security Directorate will carry out the Violence Free School program, with information sessions for schools located in the areas with the highest crime incidence.
