Died Armando Durán Aché, A prominent figure of political and diplomatic thought in Venezuela, as reported this Saturday by the Constitutional Chair of the Central University of Venezuela.
Through social networks, they regretted the news and remembered that the journalist, writer and public servant leaves an indelible mark on the contemporary history of the country.
“Armando Durán held positions of high responsibility: chancellor and minister of several offices; ambassador to Uruguay and Spain. His work as a political analyst and columnist made him a critical and reflective voice on the country’s democratic processes and institutional challenges,” they wrote.
The intellectual was also part of the columnists of The National and directed media such as The Caracas Newspaper and The truth from Maracaibo.
The UCV Free Chair pointed out that the libertarian academic community regrets the departure of Armando Durán and honors his memory as a statesman, rigorous thinker and exemplary Venezuelan.
“We express our condolences to his family, friends and colleagues, and we celebrate his life dedicated to the service of the Republic,” they concluded.
