The president of the Peruvian Institute of Sports (IPD), Federico Tong, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the expansion of sport in the country by presenting an ambitious plan for the improvement of sports infrastructure. With the pro -investment collaboration, a network of 40 sports center will be built nationwide, with an investment exceeding 600 million soles.

The new sports center will be located in various areas of the country, including the Costa, Sierra and Selva, and will be equipped with facilities for several sports. With a minimum surface of 3,000 m², each center will feature multi -purpose and standardized gyms for physical work, adapting to the specific needs of each region. The construction of these facilities will begin in August and it is expected to be ready between October and December of this year.
This project is aimed Ica, Junín, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Lima, Loreto, Madre de Dios, Moquegua, Puno, Tacna and Tumbes.
