The Inti Raymi 2022 is already under preparation in Cusco, the most important cultural event in the country will take place this year with 100% capacity, and as if that were not enough, it will be launched in a big way in the United States, confirmed the Cusco authorities.
Fernando Santoyo, president of the board of directors of the Municipal Company of Celebrations of Cusco, in charge of staging the Inti Raymi, confirmed to Mail that, due to the new depositions of the Government, about the capacity and capacity to enter shows of this nature, they made the decision to develop the ancient Inca rite in the conditions in which it was carried out before the Covid-19 pandemic.
“According to the regulatory framework and the provisions of the Government, which allow a 100% capacity in this kind of open-air shows, we made the determination to carry it out in this way and we hope that by the end of April we will already make available the income for the Inti Raymi”he pointed.
Upon the launch of this staging, it was learned that a whole contingent of authorities and artists is enlisting, who will travel to the United States for the presentation of the program, in an activity that will be transmitted in real time.
“We are organizing ourselves to be able to make an international presentation that has an impact in the United States and that has repercussions worldwide, we are finalizing details with the Foreign Ministry to travel to that country since we need visas and all the documentation”, narrowed down
On the other hand, he confirmed that the actor who will play the Inca this year will be the history teacher, David Anccawho would have been chosen by a jury after evaluating his previous presentations at Inti Raymi.
Finally it was learned that the costs of the tickets for the Inti Raymi 2022 will be cheaper than what was charged in 2019, since this year only 20% of the tourists are foreigners, therefore, they want to lower the tickets to achieve a greater capacity of national tourists.
