The installation of modular classrooms began in Guna Yala

As part of the National Government’s plan to eradicate ranch classrooms in indigenous areas, it began the installation of modular classrooms in the Guna Yala region, which is part of the Estrella operation of the Regions Pilot Plan of the CON Escuelas 2022 program.

More than 50 technicians from different institutions together with the Technical Board, Sinaproc and Senafront team began the installation work, of which four modular classrooms are already ready in the communities of Nalunega, Arritupu, Acuatupu and Maguebgandí.

“We have already completed the modular classrooms in the Nalunega, Arritupu, Acuatupu and Maguebgandí communities, in each of them there are two classrooms. Now, we are working in the communities of Aidirgandí and Ailigandí, when we finish in these communities then we will move to Isla Pino, Navagandi and Carreto”, said Alexis Alvarado, Governor of Guna Yala.

While the Regional Director of Education, Armando Alvarado, said that a total of 17 modular classrooms will be built in nine educational centers.
