He accused that there are “badly intentioned people” who hold the INE responsible for this prohibition, but stressed that it was endorsed by the cameras and it is up to the institute to enforce it.
From Friday to this Sunday, the president toured Sonora. The first day, he met with the community of Yécora, where he showed off the social programs, such as pensions for the elderly and for people with disabilities and the scholarships of the Youth Building the Future program.
On Saturday, he met with the Seri people and detailed the comprehensive development plan for the community. This Sunday, with the Yaqui peoples, the Tomás Oroz baseball stadium was reopened, which will have a technological high school, which is an educational plan provided for in the exceptions to the ban.
The prohibition is in the Constitution and in article 33 of the Federal Law for Revocation of Mandate, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on September 13.
The revocation exercise will be carried out on April 10, so the closed period in which this prohibition applies began on February 4 and will end with the day itself.
Córdova recalled in his message that only government propaganda related to educational services, health and civil protection is allowed.
“(This prohibition) was not decided by the INE as some ill-intentioned people are saying, but (that) it was the legislators who approved the constitutional reform in 2019 and the corresponding law just a few months ago,” he said, insisting that these rules they do not limit the exercise of journalism or freedom of expression.
