The INE outlines a fine to Samuel García for “triangulation” of campaign resources

On April 23 and 29, as well as on May 8, 2021, the Green Ecologist of Mexico (PVEM) and National Action (PAN) parties filed complaints with the INE against Movimiento Ciudadano (MC) and its candidate García Sepúlveda. , for the alleged commission of infractions in control matters.

Given this, the INE’s Technical Control Unit documented that the then candidate acknowledged in an interview, held on April 12, that he had been given cash contributions by his relatives.

After various requests to the financial and banking authorities, the INE confirmed that three of his relatives contributed to the MC party, as supporters or militants, an amount of 14 million pesos.

Bertha Silvia Sepúlveda Andrade, mother of the candidate contributed 11 million 600,000 pesos while her brothers Silvia Catalina García Sepúlveda, 1 million 586,500 pesos and Roberto Miguel García Sepúlveda, 840,000 pesos, respectively. In total, 14 million 26,500 pesos.
