The Complaints and Complaints Commission of the National Electoral Institute (INE) determined that a political cartoon published on the La Trilla Tamaulipas portal represents a role of subordination to men that detracts from the political capacity of women to a position of popular election, therefore that it issued precautionary measures for the alleged commission of conduct constituting gender-based political violence and ordered Facebook to withdraw the cartoon published in the name of Rendón Rendón, as well as the comments posted on the page.
The PAN and another person filed a complaint against Ismael Rendón Rendón and/or whoever is responsible, derived from the publication of a political cartoon in which his image appears as a puppet and that it is manipulated by someone else, which in his opinion saying objectifies, alludes to and violates their personal dignity
for which he asked to withdraw it and ordered to refrain from publishing it.
The commission determined the precautionary measure admissible regarding the publication of La Trilla Tamaulipas and in the profile of the name Rendón Rendón, in which an image representing a woman as a man’s puppet was disseminated, which disproportionately affects by reiterating the stereotype that women occupy subordinate roles, detracting from their political capacity to be candidates for a popularly elected position, violating the right to political participation on equal terms.
