For months the INE developed the tool, a module that is complemented with two others: “Conóceles for the choice of members of the Judiciary”, in which the candidates’ profiles can already be reviewed, and “Ubica”, in which as of May 15, with the entity and electoral section data, you can know the exact address of the sectional box of each citizen, and how to get there.
With the module released today, “Practice”, voters can also, with their entity and section data, to know exactly the type of ballot that will correspond to them according to the exercise, directed by the Executive Director of the Federal Electoral Registry (RFE), Alejandro Sosa Durán.
Throughout the country everything will receive three types of tickets: to choose ministers of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), to choose magistrates of the Court of Judicial Discipline (TDJ) and magistrates of the Superior Chamber of the Electoral Court of the Judicial Power of the Federation (TEPJF).
But according to the entity he lives, the citizen will receive a ballot to choose Magistrate from the TEPJF Regional Chamber.
And according to the corresponding Electoral Judicial District, you will receive two tickets, one for District Judge – and boxes to choose different specialties, also according to the district – and one for circuit magistrate, also to decide candidates for various specialties in a single ballot.
The tool displays, with only two data introduced by the citizen: entity and electoral section, the type of tickets that will touch him in his box, of the tens of modalities that will be throughout the country.
In each electronic ballot replica are the boxes where, if the cursor is placed, a pencil appears that indicates that the number of the candidacy of preference can be written and even, if the number does not exist, it is requested to check and place a number that is valid.
The simulator allows to erase and perform the exercise as many times as desired, expand the letter, practice again and again.
For 19 entities, more ballots will be received in the boxes, between 9 and 13, according to the State, it is estimated, and according to the president, Guadalupe Taddei, in some entities it is intended to have a simulator such as the CPU.
This, said Taddei, is an initiative designed to provide clear, accessible and timely guidance and information, to citizens, for the exercise of vote in the context of the extraordinary electoral process 2025.
“This service has as its main objective, empowering citizens, providing them with tools necessary to exercise their right to vote in an informed and conscious way. In the INE we firmly believe, that well -informed citizenship is the basis of a solid and participatory democracy.”
The counselor reported that at the time the module “Conóceles” records 2.7 million visits, which added to the record of 190,000 applications of citizens interested in serving as observers make it anticipate that the citizen interest in the election increases.
