The General Council of the National Electoral Institute (INE) approved the training strategy for the extraordinary process of June 1, when for the first time in history Mexicans will elect judges, magistrates and ministers through voting, as well as the design of the ballots that will be used.
During a morning session, it was agreed that the ballots will be printed on security paper, as in previous federal processes, and will contain a color identity to differentiate each election of the Judicial Branch of the Federation.
They will be of two sizes: one, letter type, intended for voting for ministers of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, and half a letter for magistrates of the Judicial Disciplinary Court, Superior Chamber and regional chambers of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation. The ballots for the election of magistrates and district judges were pending for another session, since neither the original design nor two proposed modifications were approved.
The printing of these documents will be done in the Graphic Workshops of Mexico. They will be attached to a sheet of paper with a progressive number from which they will be removable and will contain all the required data.
There will be a chromatic identity to identify the different positions in dispute: Pantone 2725U, for the election of members of the Supreme Court; Pantone 564U, for the judges of the Judicial Disciplinary Court; Pantone 7705U, for the magistrates of the Superior Chamber of the TEPJF, and Pantone 489U, for the magistrates of the regional chambers of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation.
On the other hand, in the session of the General Council of that institute, the Training and Electoral Assistance Strategy for the extraordinary elections of the Judicial Branch of the Federation 2024-2025 was approved.
Three thousand 121 supervisors and 18 thousand 568 trainers will tour the national territory to invite citizens to participate as polling station officials, integrate them and everything related to the activity.
The criteria and procedures will be established to integrate the board of directors of sectional polls, train the citizens who will make them up, and tasks related to assistance.
