There are 64 candidates for the Supreme Court, distributed in 50% women and 50% men. For the Electoral Court, there are 15 candidates, nine men and six women, so the principle of parity was not fulfilled.
Carla Humphrey, Dania Ravel and Claudia Zavala, electoral counselors, highlighted this lack of parity to aspire to the Superior Chamber of the Electoral Court.
This Friday, February 21, the printing of the ballots will begin with the names of the candidates for the Judiciary.
The National Electoral Institute (INE) designed and approved six different types of tickets for the unprecedented process, each with a chromatic identity to easily differentiate each of the elections for which it will vote:
- Ministers and ministers of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation.
- Magistrates and magistrates of the Court of Judicial Discipline.
- Magistrates of the Superior Chamber of the Electoral Court of the Judicial Power of the Federation.
- Magistrates and Magistrates of Regional Salas of the Electoral Court of the Judicial Power of the Federation.
- Circuit magistrates.
- Judges and district judges.
According to the INE, the tickets will be attached to a foliated heel with progressive number, of which they will be detable. This will contain the name of the electoral process and that of the election, federative entity, electoral district and, where appropriate, multinominal constituency, judicial circuit, judicial district and electoral district, as appropriate.
