The Dominican Agrarian Institute (IAD) distributed 1,300,000 pesos to 141 farmers in the province of Independencia, corresponding to the sale of the harvest of chili peppers, aubergine and onion, to the agricultural company Tierra Tropical.
The act of delivery of these resources was headed by the general deputy director of the IAD, Rivera Amador Amador, on behalf of the owner, Francisco Guillermo García, who said that these initiatives should continue to be promoted so that each year they receive greater benefits that allow them to raise their quality of life.
Amador indicated that it is of the utmost importance for the Government that the landowners, after harvesting the products, have the support of the institution to place them in the local market.
“Rest assured that you always have our support in everything that has to do with technical assistance, training, and through the cooperative that represents you, manage your loans at Banco Agrícola under zero-rate conditions,” said the official.
Anselmo Alejandro Medrano, president of the Cooperativa Agropecuaria y Servicios Múltiples El Espartillar, thanked the IAD officials for the presence and all the support provided to make this payment a reality today, highlighting that the landowners are attached to the cooperatives.
