The Hwarangdo Taekwondo Academy had a brilliant participation in the International Hannkook Cup, a few days ago. The Bolivian representatives won eight gold medals and one silver, and the club ranked first at the team level.
Nearly 600 athletes participated in the event. from Brazil, Bolivia and Paraguay. The Hwarangdo taekwondists were the only Bolivians in the event.
In kyorugui (sparring) the gold medals were won by Mohamed Kaira, Violeta Añez, Valeria Valdés, Rodrigo Aguilera, Gerardo Moreno and Roberto Justiniano.
The silver medals were paid by Lucas Heredia in pomsae (forms), both individually and in teams.
The other two gold medals were obtained in the Grand Prix, a tournament for economic prizes, by Celeste Añez and Diego Aguilera, also in kyorugui modality.
Nine athletes traveled to Asunción del Paraguay to take part in the tournament, accompanied by their coach Aldrin Áñez and some parents.
