Cúcuta has once again become the main recipient city of this humanitarian emergency. So far, 150 displaced people have arrived in the northern capital of Santander, where they have received attention from the Municipal Administration, as well as guidance to advance the declaration process.
These people are currently housed in the homes of relatives and support networks, which is why the provision of temporary shelters is necessary.
The situation is also complex in the municipality of Tibú, where the arrival of 192 displaced people is reported. Of this total, 72 have been placed in authorized shelters, while 120 have been welcomed by family members and close people.

Faced with this scenario, the Mayor’s Office of Cúcuta announced that it will continue to permanently monitor the situation and will maintain active its institutional response capacity to provide humanitarian care and support to affected families, in coordination with the competent entities and support organizations.
The Municipal Administration reiterated its commitment to the protection of the displaced population and to the timely attention to the needs arising from this humanitarian situation.
