Havana, Cuba.- On Monday 27 the International Day is commemorated in memory of the victims of the Holocaust. This is a date established in 2005 by decision of the UN General Assembly. Thus, the world community reminds millions of human beings (mostly Jews) exterminated by the Nazi regime.
The occasion is propitious – Among them the ceasefire agreed between the state of Israel and the regime established in the Gaza Strip by the Hamas terrorist group.
It is an arduous and prolonged process that had the active mediation of the United States, as well as Qatar and Egypt. As part of the agreements, a process of exchanging prisoners has begun. The first two groups of three and four hostages have already returned to Israel, respectively (so far, all women), released by Hamas. As a counterpart, they have left the twenty prisons of Palestinian prisoners.
I consider that the first thing that corresponds to highlight is the asymmetry of these releases. Not only in the number (dozens of Palestinians for each Israeli), but also in the character of each other. On the Hebrew side, they are mostly civilians taken as hostages by Hamas during the October 7, 2023 which began the present phase of armed confrontation.
That fateful day, more than 1,200 Israelis (many of them women and children) were massacred by Hamas. Two and other hundred and a half were taken to Gazatí territory and locked in unhealthy tunnels, in inhuman conditions. They have gathered the abuses against them, there have even been complaints of sexual attacks against women.
On the contrary, by the part of the Palestinians these are people who, in one way or another, have performed recognized criminal acts. It is true that, in this, “there is everything, as in Botica”: some have been sanctioned for causing the death of people; On others, accusations of having perpetrated illicit facts, but of less entity, such as launching Molotov or stones.
However, the propaganda of the Castrocommunist regime has been clearly manifested and undublished in Hamas Defense (although they prefer to use the term “Palestine”) and against Israel. I suppose that, to assume that position, not only the character of the Hebrew State as the only democratic country in the Near East has been taken into account, but also its vertical position as part of the West and firm ally of the United States.
We already know that Fidel Castro, even before climbing power, told his confidant Celia Sánchez, in a famous letter, who saw the fate of his life in “fighting the Americans.” Our people, in mass, have been a victim of that solendonal decision of the dynasty establishment. It seems that, for the regime, the reason for being of the Cuban State was to face the United States …
Then you should not surprise us that, put to choose between Israel and HamasCastrocommunist propaganda is decided, without any hesitation, by this last terrorist organization, and repudiate the Jewish country, Washington’s ally. This is reflected in the propaganda avalanche that pens and cotorrons at the service of the regime spill on Cubans.
Despite this, just recognize that this agitation campaign represents a rare exception among which the ideological department constantly organizes and carries out. As I already raised in a article Published right here on May 4, she is the only one in which Castristas can boast of having reached some success. The majority of Cubans, who mass the activity of the regime and their lies, have been manipulated by tendentious propaganda about the current conflict and feel some rejection of Israel’s actions.
I clarify that this occurs between the mass that, despite its tiredness with Castrocommunist policies, reads and hears the official press in an acritic way. In another article published right here in Cubanet In December 2023, I highlighted a fact that I consider historical: civil society organizations that enjoy official recognition in Cuba (which implies that they are not opposition, because if they were, they would not have it) for the first time issued statements that disagree with The pronouncements of the regime.
They were the Federation of Hebrew communities of Cuba, first, and then, the evangelical churches, through a “joint statement.” In both documents, with diverse nuances, Israel’s right to defend himself is recognized and the Pernicious role played by Hamas.
The agitation campaign unleashed by the regime no. She is unilateral and tendentious; I omits “important details”: for example, that the current stage of hostilities was initiated by Hamas, with its arter and brutal attack on October 7. There is also much talk about those killed or the hostages transferred by force to Gaza.
For that reason, not to extend this article too much, and to clarify to that compatriots what is really Hamas, I will mention only two of those captives. I mean the Ariel and Kfir Bibas brothers, … born four years ago and just two! Because yes: little Kfir had just eight and a half months when he became a hostage of Hamas! …
It is natural that any normal person feels compassion for two captured little angels, like war loot!, For Hamas’s rings; that deplore a destination as cruel as to remain locked in the tunnels manufactured by the terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip. In our case, as Latin Americans, that natural sympathy is multiplied, because they are little people of Argentine origin.
Sources of the terrorist group have affirmed that the children died in November 2023 during an Israeli bombing. It is clear that it is a gross attempt for blaming his alleged death to his Israeli adversaries. But the sayings of those terrorists, compulsive liars, do not enjoy credibility. That is why the names of both, like those of their parents, were maintained in the Israeli hostage list. And the hopes of recovering them alive did not disappear.
Happily, the latter was confirmed on Monday, as the names of the four members of the Bibas family appear on the hostage list to be released by Hamas. The supposed death of the children was another infamous lie of the terrorists!, Who, apparently, prefer that both remain imprisoned for a while, so that their release does not receive the special media coverage for the first release. What a channeling!
In the interim, we would have to ask Hamas’s criminals: why did they take those two children as hostage! And to the bosses of the terrorist organization: why didn’t they immediately revoke that monstrous imprisonment! At the same time, I hope that my compatriots, disoriented in this case by the tendentious castrocommunist propaganda, reconsider their sympathies by Hamas after knowing the frightful case of the Bibas brothers.
