Presidential spokesman Fredy Hinojosa confirmed the transfer and ruled out any dismissals of workers in the unification of ministries.

According to the head of the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis), Julio de Martini, his portfolio will be merged with the Ministry of Women.

However, it is not known which other portfolios would be merged.

The Palace spokesman revealed that the proposal announced by the president is aimed at making the state apparatus more efficient.

“Regarding the law on the merger of sectors, which was mentioned in the speech of July 28, I would like to inform you that the Government is absolutely clear about the actions that will be implemented in the coming months, with the aim of continuing with this policy of making the State apparatus more efficient, which is the demand of the citizens,” the spokesman said.
