The Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) ordered the formation of a technical table to address the problems of the communities, towns and villages that are in the area of direct influence of the Lot 67located in the province of Maynas, Loreto region.
By means of Ministerial Resolution No. 156-2022-Minem/DM, published last Saturday in the extraordinary edition of the Legal Norms of the newspaper El Peruano, it is indicated that said working group has the purpose of installing a space for dialogue between the representatives of the communities and hamlets in the area of direct influence of the Lot 67; representatives of the Executive Power and of the Perenco company, to facilitate the signing of agreements that may be convenient for the parties.
The regulation indicates that the aforementioned working group will be made up of the following members:

- A regular and alternate representative of the Ministry of Energy and Mines, who will chair the technical table.
- A regular and alternate representative of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
- A regular and alternate representative of Perupetro.
- A regular and alternate representative of Perenco.
- Three titular and alternate representatives of the province of the Federation of Native Communities of Curaray (Feconcu).
The working group will be installed within a period not exceeding 10 business days, counted from tomorrow, and will be valid for 90 business days, although it may be extended by agreement of the parties.

Let us remember that a commission of the Executive together with the leaders of the communities affiliated with Feconcu and the representatives of the Perenco and Petroperú companies agreed on April 21 to lift the force measures immediately in the area of influence of Oil Lot 67, in Loretto.
According to the minutes signed at the meeting held at the Minem, the communities affiliated with the Feconcu will allow free transit on the Curacay River; as well as the mobility of the vessels of the Perenco company, which will guarantee the operations of Block 67 indefinitely.
