Gerardo Martínez will participate in an act of the construction sector
The general secretary of the Union of Construction Workers (Uocra), Gerardo Martínez, will participate next Monday in an act headed by the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massain the Buenos Aires party of San Fernando.
In the meeting it would launch the extension to the Argentine Federal Production Incentive Law and Access to Housingrecently approved by the Senate of the Nation, the union reported this Saturday in a statement.
The event will take place on Monday morning in a housing complex under development and will also include the president of the Argentine Chamber of Construction (Camarco), Gustavo Weiss; the head of the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP), Carlos Castagneto, and provincial and municipal authorities, said Uocra.
The norm was a joint initiative of the union and the business chamber and, at the time, it was promoted by Massa in Congress and approved in early 2021.
“The standard seeks encourage the development and investment of new private works, and will serve as a motor to reactivate the productive apparatus and the real economygenerate new jobs and support a greater offer and access to housing,” said Martínez.
For the leader, “it is a virtuous initiative that includes clear and transparent incentives for the investment of private resources in the development and construction of housing and the promotion of the development of a dynamic sector such as construction, the mother of industries and one of the engines of the economic growth and job creation.
“The construction has a proven multiplier effect of economic activity and as a social orderwhich are necessary for a country that requires sustained and sustainable development,” said the also secretary of International Relations of the CGT in the statement.
