The Government urges the population to get vaccinated: The virus has not disappeared

On Sunday morning, the Minister of Health and Sports, Jeyson Auza, urged the population to go and get vaccinated against Covid-19 and assured that the virus “has not disappeared.”

“We are going to do a rake so that the entire population can receive the vaccine (…) The epidemic has not ended, the virus has not disappeared. We appeal to the conscience of the population to go to get vaccinated because the problem has not ended, ”Auza said in an interview on the state channel Bolivia TV.

Likewise, the authority pointed out that the immune system of older people requires a booster dose and because of this it asks this sector of the population to go to the immunization points to receive the third dose of the vaccine.

Until this Saturday, 8,517,323 vaccines of the first, second, single-dose and third doses were applied.

In the same way, he realized that 52% of adolescents between 16 and 17 years old did not receive the Covid vaccine, to expedite this process, this Sunday points were enabled for this sector of the population to be immunized.
