The Buenos Aires Government and the representatives of the state unions will meet this Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. to discuss salary increases, while on Thursday they will do so from 10:00 a.m. with the unions representing teacher workersreported official sources.
Both meetings will be held at the Ministry of Labor, in La Plata, where union representatives expect the Province to formalize a salary increase offer that prevents salaries from losing against inflation.
Until now, the provincial government granted a salary floor of 90% with several corrections throughout 2022, while accumulated inflation, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec), reaches 85.3%. .
However, since inflation is expected to exceed 90% by the end of this yearit is intended to prevent the salaries of state employees from falling below the cost of living index.
The salary increases for the current year took place in October and November, with 8 percentage points each, and the December increase floor was raised by different percentages depending on the union, to guarantee an annual 90% to all schemes.
At the same time, as of October, the amounts collected for family allowances increased by 50% in relation to those in force in September.
