The Government, through the National Agency for Disability (ANDIS), communicated, in the Official Gazette published this Tuesday, June 14, that the expiration of the Single Certificate of Disability (CUD).
The measure will reach documents whose expiration date is between July 1 and December 31, 2022, with which, the people who have the Single Certificate of Disabilitythey will continue to enjoy their benefits.
It should be remembered that the Single Certificate of Disability, It gives people with disabilities access to the health system, transportation, social benefits and other special benefits.
Regarding the extension of the expiration date, the Government indicated that, due to the pandemic, “ANDIS promoted a policy of extension of the certificates whose original expiration dates had fallen until 06/30/2022 inclusive, in consideration of the difficulties in accessing the certificates. health services in that period and the administrative burden involved in managing the pandemic.
For this reason, “it is essential that ANDIS continue to pay special attention to the issue related to the validity of the Single Certificate of Disability throughout the country, extending for one year all those CUDs whose original expiration date was between July 1 and December 31 of 2022, inclusive”.
It should be noted that each certificate is valid for a maximum of five years in the case of people with disabilities between 0 and 5 years old; for those older than 5 years, the validity is granted for 10, as determined by the interdisciplinary Evaluation Board that is also in charge of approving the document.
