Amid the increase in coronavirus cases, the Government, through the Ministry of Health, extended the health emergencyarranged by law 27,541.
This way, measure will be in force for one more year, that is, until December 31, 2023, given that special attention is still required in the framework of the coronavirus pandemic, which allows the status of health emergency.
Through DNU 863/2022, published this Friday in the Official Gazette, the Government authorizes the Ministry of Health as the application authority of the health emergency and, in its recitals, it argues: “There are still special care needs due to the coronavirus pandemic and its impacts, including in the field of mental health”.
The norm allows establishing “general preventive measures, as well as exceptions to preventive and mandatory social isolation and multiple conditions to except activities, according to the epidemiological stage.”
Also, “hire retired or retired health personnel, and authorize, exceptionally and temporarily, the hiring and practice of health professionals and technicians, graduates abroad whose title is not revalidated or authorized in the Argentinian republic”.
In addition, it authorizes “the installation and operation of field or modular hospitals even without having the prior administrative requirements and authorizations”, as well as “the reallocation of budget items, by the Head of the Cabinet of Ministers, for the implementation of the measures that were necessary under this emergency”.
In this way, the measure that expired on December 31 and was decreed in March 2020, will be extended for another 365 days, or until the State deems it necessary.
