Fulfilling the commitments assumed with the community members of the municipality of Yapacaní, the Government of Santa Cruz began the construction of a road section in the area of the North Strip. This work will benefit the entire productive sector of that region of the department.
Edgar Landívar, Secretary of Economic Development, explained that initially more than 5 kilometers (km) of a total of 30 km that this highway contemplates will be built. The intended investment is Bs 24.5 million.
“This is a long-awaited work. We, in 2021 with three months of government together with our governor Luis Fernando Camachowe face this lawsuit in the midst of blockades and kidnapping of our Public Works personnel,” said the authority.
Landívar maintained that the project “It is a reality that in this first stage We will do it with resources from the Government, after that we will see the prioritization for the search for financing to make 100% of the highway”.
He recalled that, for 50 years, this region has produced oil for the country and no government before worked to build a road for it.
“This marks a milestone in the governor’s management. This is the sample of the efficient production model from Santa Cruzefficient and successful, our obligation is to work and restore the confidence of the people who voted and did not vote for Luis Fernando Camacho”, he concluded.
