After the Central Bank (BCRA) announced a greater control of imports to take care of reserves, businessmen have criticized the measure of the Governmentthere has even been talk of “there is a trap on imports”.

In this regard, this morning, Gabriela Cerruti at a press conference stated: “There is no trap for imports” and clarified that the measure of the Government does not mean that there is “a restriction on imports”, but that the executive power seeks to prioritize companies that have access to financing.

The Central Bank restricted access to dollars for imports.

The measure prioritizes companies that have access to financing for imports. All companies can import. What is prioritized is the look, the dollars that go to productive investments. SMEs don’t have any restrictions either, only benefits,” said the representative of the Government.
