Agents of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) seized 23 panelas of cocaine that were buried in the Santa Lucía sector, Barinas municipality of the same state, according to military sources.
The 23 panelas yielded a weight of 23 kilos 400 grams.
During the procedure, seven people identified as Daniel Elías Burgos Rangel, Carlos Eduardo Carpíos Carpíos, Mario José Linares Trejo, Ramón de Jesús Carpíos Capios, Luis Alberto Torrelles Mercado, Óscar Rafael Hernández Urbina and José Rafael Trejo Mercado were detained, who were handed over to the Ministry. Public for criminal prosecution.

Another anti-drug procedure was carried out by the military in the Mirandita sector, Torres municipality (Carora), Lara state, where they seized five marijuana wrapperswith a weight of five kilos 176 grams.
The drug was transported in a silver Chevrolet Optra, license plate AB918CK, driven by Jorge Antonio Vásquez Rodríguez, a member of the El Pollo Loco criminal group and who was detained.
