The GNB rescued two kidnapped sexagenarians in Maturín

After negotiating, they were able to capture the three criminals who kept the couple kidnapped in a house in the Maturín municipality, Monagas state

A couple of sexagenarian victims of kidnapping were rescued by members of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), according to military sources.

Victims and perpetrators were inside a house located in the Valenzuela sector, Maturín municipality, Monagas state.

Upon learning of the fact, the military surrounded the property and began a negotiation that allowed the capture of the three criminals who kept the sixty-year-old couple in a situation of kidnapping.

The alleged kidnappers were registered as Nicholso Zapata Santiago, Oswaldo Daniel Rivas Díaz and Yoni José Ruiz Figueroa, members of the Santa Inés criminal group. Then, the officials proceeded to untie the man and the woman who were also gagged.

At the site, the military collected a .38-caliber revolver, three telephone sets and a mountain pass.

The detainees were handed over to the Public Ministry where they opened a file for kidnapping, illegal possession of a firearm and robbery.
