The GNB arrested 13 members of Tancol groups

A total of 13 members of Tancol groups (Armed Terrorists, Colombian Drug Traffickers) were captured in two procedures carried out by agents of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), according to military sources.

A group of five was arrested in the Mereyal sector, Rómulo Gallegos municipality (Elorza), Apure state. A mixed commission made up of agents from the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (Dgcim) and River Detachment 352 of the Bolivarian National Guard acted there.

Officials seized three Colombian-made domestic gas cylinders, three outboard motors, three military uniforms, three pairs of rubber boots, 900 liters of gasoline, and five telephone sets.

In the procedure they arrested Luis Gabriel González López, Miguel Alexander Guedez, José David Aponte Rojas, Omar Francisco Rodríguez Parada and Rafael Efraín Rodríguez Parada.

These people were handed over to the Public Ministry where they opened a file for illicit fuel trafficking, usurpation of functions and criminal association.

And in the Salamina, La Fe and Piacoa sectors, Casacoima municipality, Delta Amacuro state, the military seized 30 cartridges, including 23 caliber 7.62×39 for rifles; a radio transmitter, three telephone sets, 540 US dollars and military clothing.

In that case, the detainees were registered as Deivis Jhoan Nassif Martínez, Eduardo José Hidalgo Zarate, José Gregorio Hernández García, Enderson José Vallenilla, Gerald José Benites Ponce, Jesús Aníbal Herrera Mata, Neomar Enrique Hernández García, and Richard José Marcano Salgado.

The subjects will be charged with illicit possession of ammunition, usurpation of functions and association to commit a crime.
