Punta Cana.- Another tourist died as a victim of the traffic accident that occurred on the Bulevar Turístico del Este, in Bávaro, raising the death toll to four.

There are already three deceased Argentine nationals, after the accident that occurred last Thursday, the sixth of this month.

According to official reports they were 51 tourists affected by the accident. The total includes 17 Argentines, 16 Chileans, seven Brazilians, five Peruvians, four Colombians and two Mexicans among the victims.

Franklin Nin Pérez, 47, was arrested the next day. The Public Ministry requested that, given the magnitude of the accident, the case be declared complex and that he be sentenced to one year of preventive detention.

The court postponed until next Wednesday at 10:00 in the morning the knowledge of the request for preventive detention, after accepting a request from the defendant’s lawyers to prepare his means of defense.

The MP accuses Franklin Nin Pérez of alleged violation of articles 220, 231-1, 235-1, 303-3-4-5 and 304-4 of the criminal code, and requests to order the provisional seizure of the vehicle, bus type, Volkswagen brand, year 2017, which was driven by the person involved when the event occurred.

Among the injured are five Peruvians, seven Colombians, seven Brazilians, 14 Argentines, two Mexicans and 11 Chileans.
