“The Board of Directors acknowledged the exceptional achievements of the president and founder of the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab” and said “his gratitude for the 55 years of tireless leadership,” said the Board of Directors in a statement.
Klaus Schwab, born in Ravensburg, southern Germany, on March 30, 1938, is a professor in Business Administration at the University of Geneva, where he worked until 2023 and first created the European Management Forum, forerunner of the World Forum.
Over the years, the Davos forum became a meeting that attracted the world’s economic and political elite and, even, for a time, to great stars of cinema and entertainment.
The forum states that “it provides a world, impartial and non -profit platform for a significant connection between interested parties in order to establish trust and build initiatives for cooperation and progress.”
The World Forum is accused of creating a space for the business world that can thus press governments without democratic control.
Critics even coined the concept of “Davos man” to refer to a worldwide elite elite devotee of free trade.
In 2020 Klaus Schwab he published the book “The Great Restart”, in which conspiracy theorists saw the proof of a world elit plan to destroy democracies and enslave, if not eliminating, to a part of humanity.
The businessman Elon Musk, the richest man in the world and an influential member of the environment of US President Donald Trump, accused Klaus Schwab of wanting to “be the Earth’s emperor.”
