Argentina will grant this Friday, through the Chancellerythe first humanitarian visa for a Ukrainian citizen, as confirmed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Santiago Cafiero.
The visa will be delivered in the Embassy Argentina in Brasilia to a Ukrainian citizen married to an Argentine and who were previously repatriated thanks to the cooperation of the Brazilian consular office, according to the Chancellery.
Both citizens managed to be transferred from Warsaw to Brasilia, in a repatriation flight that was coordinated by the Chancellery from Brazil, with which it is estimated that the refugees will arrive in Argentina this Saturday.
The humanitarian visa grants the Ukrainian a temporary residence, with which you can stay in the country for at least the next 3 years. Once the period expires, she can apply for permanent residence.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs praised the work of the consular office and thanked the support received from Migrations, the Ministry of Health and the Government of Brazil.
The marriage will travel from Brasilia to Argentina with 3 other Argentine citizens who made a stopover in that country, after fleeing the Russian invasion that is already completing its second week.
The Foreign Ministry will send humanitarian aid to Poland for refugees
According to the latest UN data, 2.5 million people have been displaced from Ukraine by the warso bordering countries such as Poland and Romania receive the refugees.
In consecuense, the consular office Argentina reported that it will send humanitarian aid to Polish territory to assist the Ukrainian refugees who are also cared for by a delegation of White Helmets.
The aid will be transferred next week through Aerolineas Argentinas and with the support of Poland’s flag carrier, LOT, who will be in charge of transporting it from Miami to Poland.
The donations include cots, first aid kits, blankets, among other items that will be received by the White Helmets mission that was sent to Poland by Argentina.
