The Foreign Ministry filed a complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office after the leak of an audio of a private conversation by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonia Urrejola, in which she questioned the Argentine ambassador to Chile, Rafael Bielsa, after his statements following the unanimous rejection of the Committee of Ministers to the Dominga port mining project.
In this sense, from the portfolio they maintained that “as is public knowledge, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonia Urrejola, accepted the resignation of the Director of Communications of this portfolio due to the dissemination of an audio containing a private conversation, recorded without knowledge of the meeting participants”.

Likewise, the Ministry of RR.EE. revealed that “after what happened, and as required by law to the high authorities, the Chancellor filed a complaint with the Public Ministry and asked the undersecretary Ximena Fuentes to instruct the opening of an administrative proceeding. Aligning itself with what was expressed by the Argentine President, Alberto Fernández, and what was said by President Boric, the Foreign Ministry reaffirmed that after the impasse, “the bilateral relationship with Argentina continues on excellent terms.”
