This Tuesday, the company Floricultura del Paraguay inaugurated a modern nursery dedicated to the cultivation, production and marketing of orchids. The property is 3,000 m2 and is located on Calle San Cayetano almost San Francisco, in the Loma Merlo neighborhood, city of Luque.
The young Chiara Capdevila is in charge of the project, whose main objective is the production of orchids, laboratory and greenhouse construction, introducing new varieties to the country.
“It is the realization of a dream that has an emotional background, the close relationship between Taiwan and Paraguay that gave opportunity to young entrepreneurs,” said the director of this important national private investment.
The entrepreneur pointed out that the goal is to strengthen cooperation ties and provide opportunities for producers in new markets. In addition to incorporating flowers as an important export item.
The new greenhouse, the largest in Paraguay, will initially have a production capacity of 100,000 orchids per year.
The inauguration was presided over by the former President of the Republic, Horacio Cartes, and Luis Chou, head of the Taiwan Technical Mission, considering that this project has the support of the Taiwanese government.
