Azua de Compostela, RD- The Executing Technical Unit for State Land Titling jointly with the Dominican Agrarian Institute, started this Tuesday, the first stage of the Titling Project in the municipality Azua de Compostela.
Project that seeks to deliver a thousand title certificates, which will benefit 4 thousand people occupying lots and homes.
The director of the UTECT, Mérido Torres, indicated that the technical, social and legal work that will last 6 months is totally free, which translates into significant savings for each beneficiary and guarantees that “no one can take them out of what you occupy for a long time”.
“In this first stage we plan to work on a thousand lots and homes, this project is carried out as required by law, because our president Luis Abinader is committing that the most needy obtain their title certificates for free, when we deliver the titles they will do 4,000 people benefited, whose properties will triple their value,” said Torres.
He explained that the titling process in the first stage covers plots 16, 31-Ref and 615 of Cadastral District No. 08, respectively, benefiting the inhabitants of the El Flamboyán, Villa Corazón de Jesús and Finca 6 sectors, in the municipality of Azua.
Meanwhile, the director of the Dominican Agrarian Institute (IAD), Francisco Guillemo García, said that with this launch stability is given to families who for more than 75 years did not have property titles.
“Each poor family that receives a definitive title, acquires the legal financial instrument to improve their home, as well as start businesses and small businesses.
With this act, various communities of Azua, ignored by past governments, can renew hope in a better future”, he indicated.
Meanwhile, the governor of the province of Azua, Angela Pérez Díaz, said that the Azua people have been taken into account greatly by the government headed by President Luis Abinader, and that this titling initiative guarantees that families have their own roof.
On his side, the deputy director of the Executing Technical Unit for State Land Titling for the South region, Duarte Méndez, announced that the regional office of the UTECT will be installed in the province of Azua very soon, and highlighted the large number of certificates granted in the district.
Also participating in the launching ceremony of the Titling Project for the municipality of Azua de Compostela, held at the Bartolomé Olegario Pérez Sports Center, were Miguel Bolívar Méndez, director of the Municipal Board of Farm 6; Isidro Ramírez, in charge of titling at the IAD; Rafael Durán and Lover Vargas, regional and provincial managers of that entity in Azua.
