The first Monday of April has 108 new infections in the country

Bolivia this Monday April 4 detected 108 new cases of covid-19, 1,324 recovered and a deceased.

Till the date, the accumulated number of infections is 902,605that of recovered is 843,920 and that of deceased is 21,897.

This first Monday in April there are 36,788 active cases. While the infections were distributed as follows: Santa Cruz 44, Cochabamba 27, La Paz 18, Tarija 10, Chuquisaca 5, while Potosí, Oruro, Beni and Pando registered only one infection each.

Bolivia does not register more cases of the Delta variant of Covid-19 and the disease is expected to become endemic in a few weeks, Health Minister Jeyson Auza said on Monday.

The data from the genomic sequencing carried out in recent days indicates that All the samples analyzed correspond to the Omicron variant. and the presence of its subvariants BA1 and BA2 was not evidenced either.
