The first homicide of 2023 in the province of Colón is registered

On the night of this Wednesday, January 4, the first homicide was recorded in the province of Colón, the correspondent for Radio Panama, Rolando Espinoza, reported that this act of blood occurred in the Vista Tropical sector, Corregimiento de Cativá.

The 32-year-old victim had a police record convicted of attempted homicide and aggravated robbery,

According to information, some gunmen arrived in the area and without saying a word shot him in the doorway of his house, killing him on the spot.

According to statistics in the province of Colón in the year 2022 it closed with 102 homicides and 4 femicides, while in 2021 there were 110 violent deaths and no femicides were recorded.
