In the last hours, the fires in the Parana Delta They were reactivated due to intentional burning carried out in the fields, which has affected the province of Entre Ríos and some points in Santa Fe.
Due to the reactivation of the igneous foci in the Parana Deltathe city of Rosario woke up this Monday covered in smoke, which could lead to respiratory diseases for the residents of area.
According to the Environmental Observatory of the National University of Rosario (UNR), “the smoke returned to Rosario after the wind turned to the south, which favored the speed with which the black curtain advanced” from the Parana Delta.
The agency detailed that the main igneous focus in activity is at the height of the Santa Fe town of Pueblo Estherlocated on the outskirts of Rosario, where since 2020 a total of more than 300,000 hectares have been burned.
Likewise, there are fires in the towns of San Lorenzo, San Nicolás and Villa Constitución, where the smoke makes mobility and visibility difficult. Because of this, the authorities specified that it is essential to drive with caution.
For their part, the health authorities reported that consultations for respiratory conditions due to smoke multiplied in medical centers, for which they requested extreme self-care measures.
