The end of the year is approaching and with it a series of adjustments such as the increase in the minimum wage and changes in the rate of the Compulsory Insurance for Traffic Accidents (Soat), which is established by a series of variables such as cylinder capacity, age and use of the vehicle.

It should be remembered that not complying with this requirement can lead to fines. This insurance covers personal injuries, not material damage, that can be caused during road accidents.
Therefore, it is an item that cannot be overcome since it is necessary for the circulation of any vehicle. This is everything you need to know about insurance.
To know different data, such as the expiration date of the insurance, you can access the Runt website on the platform: https://www.runt.com.co/consultaCiudadana/#/consultaVehiculo
There you must fill in the data of the vehicle and the owner to be able to make the query.
Consequences for the expired Soat

In the event that your insurance is expired, you are exposed to a fine of 30 daily legal minimum wages. This translates to a total of 30,00,000 in addition to the costs of immobilization.
