Minutes later, President Petro commented on this message that the “2022 was not the year with the highest real minimum wage in history but one in which the minimum wage fell 3%. It is the year of hunger in Colombia”.
Besides, Petro questioned the figures provided by Duque and accused him of lying and confusing Colombians about the increase in the minimum wage in 2022.
