Mexican government sources explained that Castillo Banuet, who from 2018 to 2020 served as head of the Unit for the Implementation of the Accusatory Criminal Procedural System at the FGR, is in charge of supervising the cases that are carried out in the delegations of the ministerial institution.
In particular, this prosecution provides technical and legal support, and assists the agents of the Federal Public Ministry assigned to the prosecutor’s offices that make up the Regional Coordination System, and the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Investigation and Litigation of Complex Cases, in the investigations and litigation of the matters under their charge, as well as in the preparation of strategies that, due to their high complexity, importance and significance, relevance or specialization, so merit it.
