The International Festival of New Latin American Cinema will return to theaters and will endorse the value of the seventh art from the big screen.
under the slogan big cinema, the event will take place from the 1st. to next December 11, time in which it will resume its traditional format after two years under the impact of Covid-19 and after having implemented several adjustments to its calendar of projections and collateral activities.
big time cinema “Illustrates the path we wanted to travel in terms of visuality, with a poster that is defined as the transition from a cell phone or tablet to projectors,” explained designer Raúl Valdés (Raupa) from the event’s official venue in the Cuban capital. .
The image and communication campaign designed by him and Nelson Ponce allude to the value of the big screen in a context marked by the consumption of audiovisuals on mobile devices.
Ponce highlighted the relevance of the project, which is always a challenge, since “the festival is one of the most traditional events in Cuba” and in each edition the campaign tries to generate controversy and ignite the spark of curiosity.
“With the communication campaign, it is our intention that Latin American and international cinema be part of the lives of viewers, who consume it throughout the year through dissimilar devices, but for December the Festival invites them to enjoy it in what is known as the big screen”, the organizers pointed out.
Founded on December 3, 1979 by the Cuban filmmaker Alfredo Guevara and with the presence of more than 600 filmmakers, the contest awards the Choral Grand Prize as its highest distinction.
