A new edition of the Fiesta de la Iberoamerican Culture begins this Monday in the Cuban city of Holguinwhere artists, promoters and researchers will meet to show their art and discuss the mutual encounter between Europe and America, according to official media on the island.
Representatives from more than 15 countries confirmed their participation in the event, which is now in its 28th edition and returns to the face-to-face format after two years of being held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event will open with the Thought Forum “Towards a World”, convened by the José Manuel Guarch Del Monte and Ibero-American honorary chairs, and will have as its main conference “America: From genocide to American identity”, as reported the agency Latin Press (PL).

The jazz player León Quincy also arrives from the United States, who will give a master class at the José María Ochoa Conservatory of Music, located in the historic center of the Holguin city.
The Eddy Suñol Theater will host the inaugural concert of this new edition of the Fiesta, under the direction of Orestes Saavedra, while the traditional parade will resume from El Quijote Park to the Casa de Iberoamérica, in front of San José Park.
