The pro-government bench, led by Germán Martínez, hopes to build the necessary majority with legislators from the interblocks of the United Provinces and the Federal Interblock, since Together for Change opposes this initiative and present its own opinion.

The intention of the ruling party is to include this issue in the session to be held on December 14which will be the last of the year.

The approval of the project, which was voted by the Senate on June 30was requested by the head of the National Social Security Administration (Anses), Fernanda Raverta.

The Welfare and Social Security and Budget commissions, chaired by the pro-government members Marisa Uceda and Carlos Heller, will meet starting at 12 in order to sign the commission’s dispatch

In article 3, it establishes that the periods to be included in the plan will comprise periods that are prior to December 2008 including for those who adhere to the Payment Unit and prior to March 31, 2012 for the cancellation of contributions.

In the case of the Payment Unit, will govern for a term of two years counted from the entry into force of the law and may be extended for the same period.

To access that Payment Unit, it will be necessary for reach retirement age or do so within a period of two years from the effective date.

In the same way, those pension beneficiaries will have the right to acquire the Payment Unit, provided that there was prior registration of the deceased as a member of the Argentine Integrated Pension System (SIPA), among other issues.

From Together for Change, a minority opinion was designed rejecting the continued inclusion of moratoriums and proposing a proportional benefit for those who have contributed less than 30 years and have reached retirement age.

In accordance with this proposal, the pension credit will be made up of 70% of the Universal Basic Benefit plus the effective years of contribution for 1.5% of the current average salary, among other issues.
