The FdT gets ready to support Cristina Kirchner after the sentence

The Frente de Todos enlists to support Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner three days after the verdict in the Highway case is knownwhile different sectors of the coalition prepare vigils and mobilizations pending the reading of the sentence and others analyze possible calls after the ruling.

Despite the fact that close to the Vice President they maintain that “There is nothing planned“, the Peronism of the province of Buenos Aires together with the related unions is “waiting” for the sentence of the Federal Oral Court (TOF) 2 to “later define what actions to take”, although they recognize that “there is great pressure of the militant bases to take to the streets to defend Cristina”.

The FdT is aligned behind the figure of the Vice President

In the previous days, the FdT closed the internal rift in the face of these circumstances with a message from President Alberto Fernández himself, who shared from his networks Fernández de Kirchner’s pronouncement ‘The twenty lies of the Roads cause’, adding: “I share the arguments of the vice president on the so-called Road Cause”.

“As Francisco Carrara said, when politics enters the Courts, justice escapes through the window,” he stressed.

A similar position was exhibited by the Chief of Staff, Juan Manzurwhen at the end of the meeting of the team of ministers last Thursday he assured in a press conference: “I believe in the innocence of the Vice President. Now let’s hope that Justice speaks.”

For his part, the Minister of the Interior, Eduardo ‘Wado’ de Pedrolinked the next reading of the verdict in the Public Works trial with objectives of an electoral nature, when dealing with the Vice President of “the leader with the greatest political volume in Argentina”.

“The persecution of Cristina is not something that has to do with crimes of the Criminal Code, but rather has to do with the Electoral Code,” he analyzed, and then questioned with strong words the accusation carried out by the prosecutors in the case, Diego Luciani and Sergio Mola: “It’s a joke,” he remarked.

In this sense, De Pedro warned that from the public ministry and federal justice “they are persecuting the leader with the greatest political volume in Argentina”, after which he announced that next Tuesday he will first “hear the ruling” of the TOF2 and then see “to do”.

In turn, the Minister of Public Works, Gabriel KatopodisHe acknowledged that the ruling party is “expectant” as to what will happen with the sentence, and then warned that “it is clear that we have to have the decision to express ourselves in the streets because what can happen this week is serious.”

In this context, the debate within the Buenos Aires PJ led by Deputy Máximo Kirchner, in coordination with the mayors of the suburbs and the representatives of the Instituto Patria, is how to react to a hypothetical conviction that, however, will not be final. , since there will be more judicial instances.

The pressure of membership

Faced with the pressure of the militants to take to the streets in defense of the Vice President, the Justicialista referents with government responsibilities also measure an issue that is not minor, such as the social climate at the end of the year, which, on this occasion, is marked by the World Cup. Football in Qatar and the performance of the National Team commanded by Lionel Scaloni.

For this reason, there is still no joint definition of Buenos Aires Peronism, the La Cámpora group and the most important unions, although from those spaces they recognized Télam that the possibility of taking to the streets “is latent” and that for that “it is expected a sign from Cristina or Máximo”.

If that happened, an action would be launched in response to a ruling adverse to the former president, a scenario that many expect, even the head of the Senate: in fact, in the procedural stage known as the “last words”, Fernández de Kirchner came to equate TOF2 with a “firing squad”.

With that phrase, she alluded to what she defined as illegalities of the process, which she herself exposed at the time of the allegations when assuming her own defense in her capacity as lawyer; the same task was carried out by its defender, Carlos Beraldi.

As for the political and union positions, those who did establish a position in advance and warned that if the Justice rules against the Vice President they would initiate trade union measures were the trade unionists of ATE Capital, headed by Daniel ‘Tano’ Catalano, warning that “If they touch Cristina, we will stop the State. We workers are not going to allow a Lula in our country.”

“Enough of lawfare and political persecution,” they insisted last Tuesday from the CABA state union in a statement released via Twitter.

After the warning, Catalano was criminally denounced by lawyers linked to right-wing spaces that call themselves ‘libertarians’, who accused him of “aggravated coercion”, which in turn generated a response from the state union.

“Given the attempted proscription of Cristina Kirchner and the criminal complaint for ‘aggravated coercion’ against Daniel Catalano, from ATE Capital we call to defend democracy and the rights won, we declare ourselves on alert and demand the strike next Tuesday in case that the Judicial Party condemn our Vice President”, they reiterated.

Meanwhile, the national deputy and general secretary of the CTA Hugo Yasky estimated that on Tuesday there will be “a new chapter of this plot of arbitrariness in which the power of Argentina, through addicted cameras, persecutes a woman. It is the same film that we already saw in Brazil”, he graphed.

For this reason, the legislator and trade unionist revealed that the workers’ unions, social movements and political forces are holding talks regarding a call with a view to what is expected when the sentence is announced.

Without hesitation, the leader of FTV-Miles Luis D’Elía and the Kirchnerist Soberanos group, made up of former Vice President Amado Boudou, former Buenos Aires Vice Governor Gabriel Mariotto and former Ambassador Alicia Castro, called a vigil in Comodoro Py starting at 9, under the slogan “in defense of Cristina, in self-defense and of democracy”.

One of those who joined this initiative was the priest Francisco ‘Paco’ Olveirareferent of the Group of Priests in Option for the Poor, who published on his Twitter account the call for Sovereigns of CABA with the legend “Todos a Comodoro Py”.

She also disseminated the call for the space ‘Resisting with Endurance’, which called for Retiro to mobilize as in 2016, when the current Vice President declared for the first time, because the Judiciary -they warned- “is coming for her and for our rights”.

Other personalities who joined the call are the sanitary doctor and leader of Peronism Jorge Rachid and the magistrate Juan Ramos Padilla, who launched a call for 4 pm to the Federal Retirement Courts and asked that they mobilize the Buenos Aires PJ, La Cámpora and the rest of the spaces that make up the official coalition.

Ramos Padilla, along these lines, stated: “I am not calling for a pueblada, because the puebladas are not called, they occur. I would not be surprised if at some point the people decide to give it.”

Meanwhile, the social leader Luis D’Eliain recent times close to President Alberto Fernández, went back to a slogan that was born in 2001 to state that “on Tuesday we have to make a new ‘picket and casserole’, get us all together to stop the coup in the street”.
