It’s only been three races of the season in F1 where we’ve seen a single completely dominant team. Something that has influenced the forecasts made by the Betway sports betting App, since it considers the Red Bull as everyone’s favourite.
After the Australian GPa, the Top Category entered a kind of spring break because the canceled Chinese Grand Prix was not replaced. However, the factories are full, unlike when it is summer or winter vacation.
Despite this dominance, we have seen another team invited to the podium party. A rather friendly and hopeful surprise, which has made us dream of a battle for the championships between more than two teams.
Although this could be a simple mirage, since most of the teams claim to be behind, at least one step, Red Bull, who is confirmed as the maximum promise to win both the drivers’ and constructors’ titles.
Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez have achieved victories in all three races that we have, showing a pace that, honestly, seems much higher than what we have seen from the rivals. At the beginning, of course, those from Milton Keynes were expected to be at the top of the forecasts, but no one expected Ferrari and Mercedes to be so far behind. Much less that Aston Martin stole the show with Fernando Alonso’s three third-place podium finishes.
Although we can say that those from Brackley have taken a step forward in the development of the W14, we must also establish that the tracks have much more interference in some cases, than what can be analyzed at first glance.
The fact that those from Maranello are in fourth place in the table does not speak of the true reality of the Italian team either. His car is, without a doubt, the second on the grid for performance, but the reliability circumstances, such as the issues with the bad races of the drivers, either by their own responsibility, or by third parties, have greatly demotivated the tifosi.
The case of Aston Martin is somewhat apart, because nobody expected them. A lot has to do with the audacity of the engineering department, who have put on their bravery and created a completely new car, unlike the other teams in the middle table, such as Alpine, who simply seem to have evolved the previous concept.
So, regarding the possibilities of being able to define the winner, we can only speculate, because the season is quite long and the developments of the teams have not been fully seen until now.
Seen what has been seen, without a doubt that the rival to beat is Red Bull, followed by Ferrari, perhaps closer than what can be seen in the points. Further back, Mercedes and Aston Martin are apparently even, with those from Silverstone a tad above the Germans.
This for the simple fact that the range of evolution of the AMR23 is greater, much greater, than that of the W14 with the concept without sidepods that have caused so many headaches.
But without any doubt, This 2023 may be one of the most closed seasons after the summer breakwhen Red Bull begins to suffer the disadvantage of wind tunnel time, and the others press on the evolution of their respective cars.
