The Faculty of Medicine of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) reported that false messages and videos are circulating on social networks in which this academic entity and the General Hospital of Mexico supposedly promote the use of supplements, vials and treatments against obesity, which is totally false, so it is a fraud.
In a post posted on Facebook, a video appears in which two obese women show how they ingest a vial under the name GLP-1 and with each transition they lose weight until they look thin.
The message states that it is “a change of life at the General Hospital of Mexico”, supported by the Faculty of Medicine of the UNAM, so both instances denied said information, asserting that it is an advertising hoax.
The advertisement claims that after a week of treatment, nighttime hunger is reduced; By week three, people who take it will feel more energy and by week six they will feel a change in clothing size and less fatigue.
“It’s not magic, it’s just perseverance. A small vial a day can change your life,” is the phrase they sell and that the Faculty of Medicine and the aforementioned hospital warned about its falsehood.
“UNAM has not promoted or endorsed the use of products, supplements, vials or treatments as part of medical practice at the General Hospital of Mexico or at any of its locations,” the faculty management stated for public information.
