In dialogue with the program En Perspectiva, which is broadcast by Radiomundo, Mieres said that the two savings banks face a similar situation: not being able to meet retirement payments in the short term. The minister pointed out that the board of the Caja de Profesionales sent a draft to the government before the end of the year. “In the next few weeks we will be able to send to Parliament a specific bill to solve the problem,” he said.

Regarding Caja Bancaria, Mieres indicated that a preliminary project has not yet been prepared by its board of directors, but added that it also needs an urgent financial solution to deal with retirement payments.
